Start of The Giver

Start of The Giver...

I think the book The Giver is gonna be about a perfect community, but not as perfect as it seems. Jonas, the protagonist is a very smart kid that I believe is going to become even smarter. Since the beginning of the book something has being weird like the airplane problem and realizing thing. Jonas is going to receive clues about what exactly what is going on in his community and see who and what is behind all this mystery about this "perfect" society.

I think this statement means that we all teenagers and kids are the future of the world. What Lowry meant when he wrote that, I believe that it was a message for all of us that are gonna be the adults in a possible future. Probably what he wants to tell us is that he are responsible for the Worlds future and we should learn how to take care of it and make our society a good society. Many authors and histories are about the future and sometimes they are bad and sometimes they are good, but there is always this problem about technology and the perfect society, what he wants to tell us is that we as humans in a future when we grow older should be able to be smart and intelligent about what happens around us and be able to do smart decisions so we can our community and free and nice community.

What I predict that will happen in the book is that Jonas is going to very frequently ask himself about this realizing they do in his community. With the pass of time and as he grows older he will receive some hints and clues to realize that something about the way and where he lives in is wrong. He will search for answers with his friends and even go to the outside world and then come back to realize that the society they lived in wasn't so perfect as they thought and will un cover all secrets.

First chapters, first actions and questions...

The Giver
First chapters, actions and questions....
By: Isabela Bermeo

Summary
What is going on right now in the book The Giver is that fisrt they seem to live in a perfect world in which everything is perfectly controled for everything and everyone. I can realize that the society they live in, is not a normal society with difficulties but instead is just a society with no kinds of trouble were everyone is perfectly placed were they should be, with the family they should be, with the job they belong and everything is just the way it should be, but there is also this thing they have about releasing people. I can guess from what I have read that if someone doesnt follow everything in the community like they are suppose to then they will be release which means that they may be kick out or even get killed in order they never get back to the community so everything is still perfect as it should be. I can predict that Jonas is a unic boy because of his eyes and also his personality and way of thinking, he will be able to get to the bottom of this perfect society he lives in.

My reading strategy here would be Questioning.
Quote; "Two children, one male, one female to each family unit. It was written very clearly in the rules."
My question is, Why families can only have one female and one male as their children, are they even from birth? This quote inspire me to do this question because i dont understand why the rules are being so strict and why do childrens don't know who their birth mothers are if they are not the ones they were raised with and possibly because of what I have continued reading there are this bithmothers which give their children to the community, many children can have lots of lots of brothers and sisters they don't even know and why would this birthmothers would give their children so easily? This book has made me feel very curious about what could happen  and made do lots of connections with other books and movies with Dystopia. One of the connnections I have made is with the book and movie of Divergent, I can connect with this book because they also have a perfect community controlled and safe, they are all given his jobs because of what they like and what they should be in the future.

Conclusion Paragraph
The Giver so far has been a great, interesting and very exciting book that has bring lots of questions, predictions and connections to my mind. I do believe that after Jonas gets his assignment something will change maybe with his family, friends or even his own life. I do believe that Jonas will not think as the other kids and adults that the community they lived in is just perfect as it seem and  I can tell that because Jonas has already began to question things about his community like the apple and I am sure that's not gonna be the only time he notices something. Finally I really like this book and I am exciting to keep reading and see what happens.
